This class will take a thorough dive into all things IV insertion. We will discuss the fundamentals, secret techniques, contraindications, complications, IV gauge preferences, insertion sites, Belmont and level 1 rapid infusers for blood/fluid products, operate a fluid pressure bag and learn how to manage difficult patients with needle phobias!

We will also demonstrate how to insert an ultrasound guided PIV and the students will be able to operate an ultrasound during the class.

We will also insert an IV with a red light illuminated vein finder.

At the end of the class you will have the opportunity to insert an IV on a real person and you will receive a certificate of course completion
